The Sundon Park Community Centre is run by the Sundon Park Centre Trust with support from Luton Borough Council.

The new "Sundon Park Centre", which replaces the old social services building, is now the meeting place, social centre and activity centre for everyone of Sundon Park. The centre was started mainly by the efforts of councillors Tony Banerji, Syd Knight, and a group of residents who have, with the help of the council Officers, formed the operating committee. Since the October (2002) opening, the activities listed have been very well attended and enjoyed by all. We had a successful Christmas Bazaar in November and a Christmas Party in December. The Centre is for use by the community, a place to meet friends, to partake in the activities or just to relax, rest and take things easy. We also invite anyone who would like to start and run their own club or activity from the centre to call in and see us. The Centre is also open for hire for some types of private functions at weekends and some evenings, e.g. Children's parties, Christenings etc.

For the future we envisage a permanent Centre built to the needs and requirements of Sundon Park residents, and with your help we will make it. We look forward to meeting you at the centre.

P. Shane (Chairman, The Sundon Park Centre Trust)
