Dear Moviemakers, on this Saturday, 18 March there is a free workshop about moviemaking
being run at the Hat Factory. The Itinerary is below. If you are interested, please go to 
it.
It is run jointly by Filmstock, Hat Factory, E-Learning Centre and Screen East.

10.00 Arrival & Welcome (Gallery)
We will meet in the gallery to welcome all guests, give an outline to the day and start
proceedings with some tea, coffee and Danish delights
  
10.30 Workshop 1 - Film Editing Basics (Basement Two)
A professional editor will show participants some of the basics of Final Cut Pro, giving
them the chance to have a go themselves, and give a surgery on editing techniques and
how to advance as an editor.
  
Workshop 2 - Introduction to Screenwriting (Gallery)
Neil Fox of Forgotten Cowboy Pictures will host a surgery for aspiring writers on ways to
develop, how to access industry help and where to network with other writers and
directors. Writers bringing a sample of their work may be able to discuss it one to one
depending on time and numbers
  
11.30 Workshop 3 - Film Music (Basement Two)
A film music graduate and music teacher from the e-learning centre will give a seminar on
education, technology and techniques regarding film scoring and soundtracks, complete
with practical demonstrations
  
Workshop 4 - A Beginner’s Guide to Short Film Making (Gallery)
Award winning filmmaker Justin Doherty will conduct a surgery on short filmmaking,
allowing attendees the chance to discuss their ambitions, needs and where they are
currently. The session will include short film screenings and one to one advice.
  
12.30 Lunch - a light buffet will be provided
  
13.15 Launch Seminar
Staying in the gallery the current drivers of Filme Lab will introduce the scheme in more
detail, outlining the future direction and plans of the group, what people can expect to see
and when. They will also take questions relating to Filme Lab
