A Programme of events and activities was drawn up and meetings were held weekly throughout the year. The main activities included:
Achievements
This year, in the IAC Regional Triangle Competition 2008, our "A" Team won the first round with the films: "Tony" by Aliakbar Campwala, "In My Country" by Frank McPartland and Aliakbar Campwala and "Invaders" (Short Version) by Scott Bailey. We were narrowly knocked out in the semi-final by Bourne End by a single point and we beat Finchley in the process. So our films are showing progress relative to those of other clubs.
The LMM Library/Archive of films about Luton has grown, with about 70 of the new films being shot in High Definition Video (HDV1080i). Copies are now available for the public on DVD.
Scott Bailey released the second version of his feature film "Warriors of Hastings".
Dapo Owolabi has released his religious drama film "Divine Solution". The script of this has been published as a book for groups who wish to do their own performances or make films.
Frank McPartland and Aliakbar Campwala released their feature film "In My Country".
The Future
Frank McPartland has started work on a new documentary film about Dunstable. We look forward to a busy year and hope to improve all round.
