Luton Movie Makers Newsletter 27 April 03 In the Newsletter this Week: * Next Meeting * Last Meeting * Weekly Competition Results * New Local Videos for Library Next Meeting ------------ At the next meeting of the Luton Movie Makers we plan to:- (1) Run the weekly competition (VHS tapes please) and (2) Prepare for next year's IAC N.Thames Region "Triangle" Competition The three films needed are (a) Documentary (b) Set Theme: "Fancy That" (c) Open category - bring your ideas for these (3) If time and people, do a scripted play, editing in camera. The meeting will be at our usual venue, Sundon Park Community Centre this Thursday, at 7.30pm. Currently entry is free. Directions: Going out from Leagrave, go past Sundon Park Shops and it's next to Sundon Baptist Church on the right. Use the Church entrance and park on the grass. Last Meeting ------------ At the last meeting on 24 Apr 03 we viewed Scott Bailey's thriller film "Death Deliverance". It was great. Lots of action in well known Luton places. Apparently passers-by thought some of the action was for real and were about to phone the police! He has another similar film which we look forward to viewing in a few weeks time. Weekly Competition Results -------------------------- There was no competition on 24 Apr 03 New Local Videos for Library ---------------------------- More local videos have been produced and will be included in the video Library, listed at http://www.moviemakers.freeuk.com/videolib.htm Copies of videos are available (at a price and not for public showing) on VHS tape. The recent videos include:- 26 Apr 03: Celebration of England and St George, Luton Town Centre The videos are also put on the L&D Community Network in VideoCD/MPEG1 format (1.2Mbps) as well as RealVideo (220Kbps).
