Luton Movie Makers Newsletter 10 May 03 In the Newsletter this Week: * Next Meeting * Last Meeting * Weekly Competition Results * New Local Videos for Library * Provisional Programme for May 2003 * Future Plans Next Meeting ------------ At the next meeting of the Luton Movie Makers, we plan to show Scott Bailey's Horror Thriller Film:- "Fang Tooth" filmed in Luton, Dunstable, Whipsnade and the surrounding area. So you might appear in it! The meeting will be at our usual venue, Sundon Park Community Centre this Thursday, at 7.30pm. Currently entry is free. Directions: Going out from Leagrave, go past Sundon Park Shops and it's next to Sundon Baptist Church on the right. Use the Church entrance and park on the grass. Last Meeting ------------ The last meeting on Thursday 8 May 03 we ran the weekly competition and discussed possiblities for next year's IAC N.Thames Region "Triangle" Competition under three categories (a) Documentary (b) Set Theme: "Fancy That" (c) Open category Weekly Competition Results -------------------------- 08 May 03 Winner: Wayne Johnson - Dunstable Carnival New Local Videos for Library ---------------------------- More local videos have been produced and will be included in the video Library, listed at http://www.moviemakers.freeuk.com/videolib.htm Copies of videos are available (at a price and not for public showing) on VHS tape. The recent videos include:- 05 May 03: Dunstable Carnival 2003 05 May 03: Aldbury May Fayre The videos are also put on the L&D Community Network in VideoCD/MPEG1 format (1.2Mbps) as well as RealVideo (220Kbps).
