Next Meeting
------------
At this Thursday's meeting (14 Aug 03) there will be a
Talk by Paul Clarke of Luton & Dunstable Community Network, 
on "Transmitting Home Movies by Radio" including a 
demonstration. 
The meeting will be at our usual venue,
Sundon Park Community Centre this Thursday, at 7.30pm. 
    
WARNING: THE SUNDON PARK ROAD MAY BE CLOSED FOR RE-SURFACING
AN ALTERNATIVE WAY OF GETTING THERE MIGHT BE VIA HILL RISE
      
Last Meeting
------------
At the meeting we had a talk by Victoria Hayford on 
"Commissioning for TV" which gave us an insight into
the workings of major terrestrial TV channels in filling
their programmes. A big "thankyou" to Vicky.
     
Lewsey Farm LC Open Day, 16 Aug 03
----------------------------------
We will be describing our course entitled "Opportunities in
Movie Making" at the Lewsey Farm LC Open Day on 16 Aug 03. 
Those interested in enrolling for the free course, 
which is directed at 18 to 25 year-olds should let myself, 
or the Lewsey Farm LC (tel: Luton 691991) know, because entry 
is by ticket.
Four of us will be lecturing. The course is planned to start
in the second week in September, assuming there is sufficient 
interest.
The other types of courses being provided include; childcare, sewing, 
hair dressing & facial beauty, plumbing, electrical, brick laying, 
DIY, food & hygiene, social work, garden design, landscaping,
construction, wood work, English linked with IT, and radio.
