Luton Movie Makers Newsletter 17 Jul 04 This week we have:- The THURSDAY MEETING at elearning@luton at Sundon Park 7.00pm Discussion on Filming Interviews ***** IMPORTANT REMINDER ***** Our Volunteer Scheme, part-funded by Luton Borough Council this year, is in full swing. It will fund YOU to make "Heritage Videos" about Luton for our library. Details of the scheme are available on request and are online at:- http://www.moviemakers.freeuk.com/volunteer/scheme.htm Under the scheme you can claim:- - Subsistence (guideline £2.50, receipt needed) and - Travel costs (guideline £2.00, receipt needed, or car at 25p/mile) for a half-day filming or editing. MiniDV and VHS Tapes will be provided free. Editing can be done at my house or at elearning (you need to book). You can chose a subject (but let me know what it is before you start), or chose one of the events in our programme, e.g coming up are:- Sat 17 Jul 04 to Filming:- Marsh Farm Festival, Freemans Green, 11am-5pm Sat 17 Jul 04 to Sun 18 Jul 04 Filming:- "Living History", Civil War Society, Stockwood Craft Museum, Luton, 10am-4pm Thu 22 Jul 04 Filming:- Information Fair, CERC (formerly Coulters), Northwell Drive, Marsh Farm, Luton, 10am-4pm Sat 24 Jul 04 to Sat 28 Aug 04 Filming:- Town Centre Summer Entertainment, Dunstable Sun 1 Aug 04 Filming:- Luton Mela, Wardown Park, noon-7pm Sat 21 Aug 04 Filming:- Gospel in the Sun, Market Hill, Luton Town Centre Throughout July, August 04 Filming:- Sunday Afternoon Band Concerts, Grove House Gardens, Dunstable Throughout the year we have a large list of local clubs and societies to film. Also there is a huge backlog of video that needs editing. So letsbe 'avin you. So far we have only had two offers of help. We will also advertise this opportunity openly to the public in Luton.
