This week:-
Because of the closure of elearning@luton, The Thursday meeting 
will be held on WEDNESDAY (28 Jul 04) at the Community Centre, 7.30pm.
It will be an IAC Shorts Filmshow.

As elearning is closed until 2 Sep 04, our next meeting there will be
on Thursday 9 Sep 04. Have a good summer holiday.
     
***** IMPORTANT REMINDER ***** 
Our Volunteer Scheme, part-funded by Luton Borough Council this year, 
is in full swing. It will fund YOU to make "Heritage Videos" about Luton 
for our library. Details of the scheme are available on request and are

Under the scheme you can claim:-
- Subsistence (guideline £2.50, receipt needed) and 
- Travel costs (guideline £2.00, receipt needed, or car at 25p/mile) 
for a half-day filming or editing.
MiniDV and VHS Tapes will be provided free.
    
Editing can be done at my house.
You can chose a subject (but let me know what it is before you start), 
or chose one of the events in our programme, e.g coming up are:-

Sun 8 Aug 04 Filming:- MYA 5-a-Side Football Festival, Bells Close 
      (Peoples Park), Havelock Road, 10.30am start
     
Sun 8 Aug 04 Filming:- Welwyn Garden City Brass Band, 
      Grove House Gardens, Dunstable, 3pm
     
Sun 15 Aug 04 Filming:- The Vine Street Six Jazz Band,
       Grove House Gardens, Dunstable, 3pm
     
Sat 21 Aug 04 Filming:- Gospel in the Sun, 
       Market Hill, Luton Town Centre 
    
Sun 22 Aug 04 Filming:- The Hitchin Band,
       Grove House Gardens, Dunstable, 3pm
     
Sun 29 Aug 04 Filming:- The Vauxhall Concert Band,
       Grove House Gardens, Dunstable, 3pm
     
Throughout the year we have a large list of local clubs and societies
to film.
    
Also there is a huge backlog of video that needs editing / converting.
So if you have a spare half-day, give me a ring. 
We will also advertise this opportunity openly to the public in Luton.
